Hey! Today on the Mad Scientists Exposed radio show, we’ll be discussing candidates’ positions on mandating vaccines, whether by “law”, by health insurance or hospital “policy”, or by all out Obamacare fiat “regulation” by unelected bureaucrat.
Yes, we still have some house-cleaning to do in the land of the free! (not “free” as in no cost, but “free” as in LEAVE ME ALONE!)
There are a lot of federal and state offices up for grabs across the country. We’ll be discussing several big name candidates, but your humble host can’t know them all. Please call in with info on the candidates in your district, especially if you ARE a candidate for office!
Donald Trump‘s position on mandatory vaccines:
“Autism has become an epidemic. 25 years ago, 35 years ago, you look at the statistics, not even close. It has gotten totally out of control. I am totally in favor of vaccines, but I want smaller doses over a longer period of time. Because, you take a baby, and, and I’ve seen it, and I’ve seen it, and I had my children taken care of over a longer period of time, over 2 or 3 year period of time, the same exact amount. But you take this little beautiful baby, and you pump a, and it looks just like it’s meant for a horse, not for a child, and we’ve had so many instances, people that work for me, just the other day, 2 years old, 2 1/2 years old, the child, a beautiful child, went to have the vaccine, and came back, and a week later, got a tremendous fever, got very very sick, now is autistic. I only say it’s not, I’m in favor of vaccines. Do them over a longer period of time, same amount, but just in, in little sections. I think, and I think you’re going to have, I think you’re going to see, a big impact on autism.”
Gov. Mike Pence‘s position on mandatory vaccines, when it was discovered the Indiana health department had sent out over 300,000 intrusive letters to parents of young Indiana girls scolding them for not getting them the HPV vaccine:
“We certainly want to respect the prerogatives of parents. The role of the state Department of Health in making information available to families is longstanding. We’ll look into it and make sure it’s clarified,”
When it appeared the Indiana Health Department intended to run away with the issue setting high goals for vaccine rates for HPV and other vaccine, Gov. Mike Pence stepped in again:
While the Republican governor said at the time that he supported vaccinations for the measles and other illnesses now required in state law, he shared concerns that some lawmakers and the public raised about the bill. He also said establishing such a goal might “set Indiana on the path toward mandate, (which) created a concern for many people. I think it is a decision that’s best left to parents in consultation with their doctors.”
Dr. Ben Carson – who could end up in Trump’s cabinet:
“But you know, the fact of the matter is, we have extremely well documented proof that there’s no autism associated with vaccinations, but it is true that we are probably giving way too many in too short a period of time, and a lot of pediatricians now recognize that, and I think are cutting down on the number on the number and the proximity in which those are done, and I think that’s appropriate.”

Sen. John McCain of AZ’s position
80 year old Sen. John McCain, who dissed his own constituents as “crazies” just for attending one of Trump’s first rallies, is being primaried by AZ Senator Dr. Kelli Ward D.O. for his seat in the U.S. Senate. He issued this snarky video ridiculing Dr. Ward for being “anti-vax”, because she co-sponsored a bill in 2013 containing a line specifying that foster parents not be forced to vaccinate their own legal children in order to be licensed to take in foster children.
AZ Senator Dr. Kelli Ward, who is primarying the 80yo John McCain, opposes forced vaccination of natural and adopted children of families wishing to become foster parents, co-sponsored AZ SB-1108 in 2013 containing line:
I. THE DIVISION SHALL NOT REQUIRE A FOSTER PARENT TO IMMUNIZE THE FOSTER PARENT’S NATURAL OR ADOPTIVE CHILDREN AS A CONDITION OF FOSTER HOME LICENSURE.
– which was signed into law 5/2/2013.
